Sony Music Entertainment’s Premium Content Division and Sony Pictures Television – Kids, together with Leo Messi Management, announce that they are teaming for the first time to produce and globally distribute the new animated series, “Messi and the Giants”, inspired by Argentinian football superstar, Leo Messi.
Sony Music Entertainment announced that Canary Islands-based Atlantis Animation Studio will serve as the lead creative studio driving graphic development and art treatment.
The 9th of October 2023, a first clip was launched by Leo Messi himself on his Instagram account to present the project.
The animation, produced by Atlantis Animation, has more than 6 million likes and 50 million views so far, and counting !! ⚽

The production of a 1min30 trailer has just been completed!
In “Messi and the Giants,” the lead character is a 10 to 12-year-old Leo Messi who finds himself trapped within a video game. Joined by a magical golden ball named Goldie, his only way out is by collecting 10 keys guarded by giants, whom he must overcome using his unique skills.
Aimed for children and young adolescent audiences, the trailer for “Messi and the Giants” has been unveiled in October 2023 by Sony Music Entertainment in Cannes, France, for MIPCOM.
